How does EAC Energy Insights calculate these figures?

The map uses stored local-authority EPC summaries where boundaries can be matched. The postcode-sector figures represent EPC records, not all homes. C-rated comparisons are drawn from the latest recorded certificates at the searched full postcode; component descriptions can be missing, and small samples are less representative. England and Wales are currently covered. Scotland and Northern Ireland are not included in these comparisons.

Some grey map regions are caused by historical local-authority boundary differences, and must not be interpreted as having no EPCs. Map averages and individual postcode-sector averages refer to different geographies. Property age is not used as a comparison filter because it is not available in the confirmed detailed certificate data.

Map boundary coverage is being checked.
